A good sense of direction

Yesterday afternoon Deirdre wasn't feeling up to par ,so she decided to catch a few zzzzz's

I decided to go for a walk and do some exploring.  Normally I  have a very good sense of direction; however, I learned that doesn't go very far over here.

I made a huge mistake.  I went out not knowing the name of our hotel (we changed hotels yesterday), the name of the street and with no map.

I knew the hotel was right after "candy street" and if I saw the street that looked like a Giant Tiger exploded  I had gone too far.  I got totally turned around and was completely lost.  To make matters worse, the streets were rammed with locals doing their shopping for the Tet holiday.  It was like Walmart on xmas eve except everyone was on a motorcycle.

I eventually found my way home and it turns out I was never more than 5 blocks from our hotel.  I did venture out beyond the tourist areas and saw some interesting methods for killing chickens and transporting pigs.

I forgot to mention something. People have been approaching me on the street wanting pictures with me because I am so tall.  I feel like such a celeb ( a "B"list celeb, but still a celeb).
